APP are currently recruiting for the following positions

Field Sales Representative

APP is looking for a competitive field sales representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of APP products and services. As an outside sales representative they will also research sales competition.


– “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (Client meetings, presentations, calling on customers etc)

-Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness

-Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships

-Meet personal and team sales targets

-Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads


-Proven sales experience

-Working in Construction/ Water industry desirable but not essential

-Track record of over-achieving quota

-Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management

-Computer use competency

-Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

-Self motivated and driven

-BA/BS degree or equivalent desirable but not essential


Sales Coordinator


-Take calls from potential or existing customers to process orders on product or service

-Direct prospects to the field sales team or process orders/ quotes from them when required

-Enter and update customer information in the database; provide quotes; process back order enquiries

-Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales

-Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

-Have a friendly report with customers both on the phone & during visit


-Proven experience as sales representative/ telesales representative or other sales/customer service role

-Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. Opera – preferable; CRM software) and telephone systems

-Ability to learn about Pipe/ Valve/ Utility products and services and describe/explain them to prospects

-Excellent knowledge of English, both on the phone and written

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Cool-tempered and able to handle pressure

-Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints

-Business/ Engineering degree is preferable
